ONGOING. Fisherfolk Associations attend the Orientation on Production Loan Easy Access (PLEA) Credit Program and Agricultural Insurance Program at the BFAR-10 Conference Room, Cagayan de Oro City. This activity aims to orient the four fisherfolk associations, two from the Province of Misamis Oriental, one from Camiguin, and one from Bukidnon, on the credit policies and programs laid down by the Agricultural Credit Policy Council or ACPC. The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation also attended the activity to discuss the insurance policies and programs for the fisheries sector. The ACPC, by virtue of Executive Order 113, was created in 1986 to assist the Department of Agriculture in synchronizing all credit policies and programs in support of the latter’s priority programs. |
